Stitchin' in the Kitchen

Students will create an apron, table runner and napkins, and pot holders. They will also learn about nutrition and kitchen safety while creating healthy snacks.

Allyson Heidenfelder was taught by her mother and has been sewing since she can remember.  She created her first solo apparel outfit at the age of 13.  She began quilting in her 20’s and has enjoyed the art ever since.  She is joined by her mother, Alice Cottrell, who is an accomplished apparel sewer and costume designer.  Camp counselors, Kyla Cottrell, and Derek Heidenfelder are experienced sewers and excited to lead the campers on their exciting sewing adventure.
