Beginning Quilting I
In eight easy two-hour classes, you will learn to successfully finish your first quilt. You'll learn the basics of cutting and piecing. The class includes:
- Complete directions for a small quilt featuring two easy blocks that create a new, secondary pattern when combined. Two simple blocks add up to a lap or baby quilt that can be finished during class.
- Minimal homework.

| Skill Details: | Students will learn machine quilting starting with the most basic of skills. From the use of rotary cutters and mats to cut fabric, to the finishing of your quilt with a walking foot. |

| Requirements: | Students are encouraged to bring and use their own sewing machines. Sewing machines are available for use in the classroom for a $5/hr rental fee. Quilts should always be completed on the same machine when possible and as there is homework to be performed between each class period, further rental time will need to be arranged during the week. Classroom sewing machines are available for sale. |
